The Altha FFA Chapters were recognized as two of the top FFA chapters in the State. The Florida FFA Association selected Altha Middle and Altha Senior FFA Chapter as two of thirty-five, Premier FFA Chapters in the state of Florida. The Premier Chapter Award was initiated to recognize superior achievement by chapters in Agricultural Education and the FFA. To be eligible for this award, chapter must be proficient in several areas which include Alumni and Community Partnerships, Financial Planning, and Public Relations, along with Recruitment and other FFA activities. Florida has over 400 FFA Chapters, with only 35 chapters receiving this prestigious award. Altha FFA was involved with many events during the 2013-2014 school year; members competed in numerous Career Development Events, traveled to leadership conferences, served members in the community, and participated at the State FFA Convention.

At the state convention this summer Altha FFA had 4 students receive their State FFA Degrees; Hunter Baggett, Rena O’Bryan, Jacob O’Bryan and Carly Schwartz. Two students were Proficiency Finalist; Hunter Baggett and Jacob O’Bryan. Several students participated in Career Development Events and won awards. Altha FFA had a successful year and are on to bigger better things during the 2014-1015 school year.
