Altha finished as district runner up in girls weightlifting losing to Wakulla by one point. The wildcats won 4 out of 10 weight classes, the most of any team.
Individual district champions were: Nikki Richards, Marijane Davis, Bobbi Finuff, and Makenzy Perkins. Also receiving medals were Layla Goins, Issabella Shadrick, Katie Layfield, Mya Morgan, Jadyn Jemison, Braeden Smith, Kirsten Scararbin and Leena Perkins. It was Altha's fourth straight year being either district champ or runner up. The wildcats will compete at regionals this Friday at Suwannee High School.
