Superintendent of Schools Ralph Yoder, announced that Robin Richards was recently recognized as the recipient of the “Make Their Day Better” award for February 2015. This monthly award was instituted by Superintendent Yoder to recognize individuals that make a difference in the day of fellow staff members, students and/or parents.
Mrs. Richards has been working for the Calhoun County School Board for twenty eight years. Currently, she is employed as the District Reading Coach for the Calhoun County School District.
Mrs. Richards was nominated by a colleague who shared the following:
Robin has a caring heart, always comes to our school willing to do anything asked of her. She stays on top of students at risk and talks to those students individually to encourage them. I have never asked her to assist with a task where she has refused or been delayed in completing it. I have not witnessed anything but positiveness from Robin when I have been around her. She is always looking at how she can encourage others too. Many probably have no idea of what all she does, but I feel she is an asset.
Superintendent Yoder stated, “Mrs. Richards is a difference-maker in our school district. As the district reading coach and coordinator for new teacher orientation, her positive impact across the district is felt every day. I’m thankful for Mrs. Richards’ consistent leadership and support for our teachers.”
Congratulations to Mrs. Richards as she works daily to make other’s days better.
